A Review of an Efficient Software Metric Parameters for Component based Software Engineering
Abstract
A quantitative basis is provided by software metrics for prediction, planning and reuse of the development process of the component based software. Therefore software quality is improved and can be controlled without difficulty. CBSE is a process that follows the principle of design and construction about the reusable software components. A component is an independent COTS and reusable component of the system. Improved the better results in productivity, quality, time and development. Software metrics determine the different aspects of software complexity. Software development and deployment model are the two major role in the metrics calculations. Metrics used in component based software engineering are helpful in achieving the quality and managing risk. Various factors are used for the purpose of analysing risk and quality on the component system. Metrics helps to the developer for identifying the probability of the risks, so that effective action can be taken immediately. The proposed metrics are used to measure the process performance, product interactivity, process complication and reusability etc. An overview of different software quality metrics that are found in the software engineering literature more about the metrics and software quality. The strengths and weakness are of different software metrics described are discussed in the paper. This paper discuss about software quality metrics, object-oriented metrics and better performance about component level metrics in the domain of Component based software engineering.
