A Framework and Assessment of Information Security in the Product Design Centre
Abstract
The present investigation aims to propose an information security framework for a product design centre of an internationally reputed automobile industry. As the primary contribution of this research study, the various policies for the secured information flow within and outside the development center along with various types of attacks to be discussed to enhance the overall security of the information system at the center. A layered architectural model for the information security of the center is considered to overcome the risks. The security policies and mechanisms discussed not only in the access control level but also in achieving secured information communication level between the different entities. The proposed model illustrates the secured information exchange in the trust and privacy perspective about time and context of exchange in a distinctive form, which is not found in existing professional standards or academic publications. To help the likelihood of this methodology and use of these strategies to supportable situations, for example, discovered a few dangerous nodes in a structure focus data framework strategy and distinguished secretive data streams in an contact control approach for an extensive server framework.
