PV- based Grid Connected System by Z-Source Inverter
Abstract
This paper presents the MATLAB/Simulink environmental developed PV- Grid connected system. This Project aims to provide an interface between PV array and Grid by a impedance (Z) source inverter (ZSI). In remote location applications a dc-dc boost converter is normally employed to increase the PVarray voltage and also used to track the maximum power point operation from the PV panel. However, with the advent of Z-source Inverter the necessity of additional dc –dc converter has become unnecessary. In this project the control of such an inverter has been attempted for PV array fed system.
