Abstract

Marketing through E-Commerce has swiftly become an enormous target for businesses in the past decade. We see more and more consumer purchases happening online through smart devices. Providing discounts is the best way to quickly draw people into your store. Whenever you tell a customer that there’s an offer in your store, you grab his attention. Discounts not only help shoppers, they also help your business to grow. From the increase in sales we improve our reputation and therefore, discounts may be that one factor that can bring business success. Location Oriented Android Discount-Tracker (LOAD) is a web application that will allow the user to ascertain quickly the best deal for a specific product (or service) at any specific location. The application will not only be able to identify one or more locations, based on the user’s preferences, but also be able to assist him on deciding the choices based on several other system dependent parameters. The project involves development of the user facing application on the Android platform. This application can accept the user needs as inputs and, based on the location, can notify the user to prompt him for choices.
