Abstract

Although the techniques for enhancing the network system survivability have been developed, the effective techniques to quantitatively measure the network system survivability are significantly required. In this paper, a method for measuring the survivability of network services is presented. The survivability of the whole network system is evaluated. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method is very convenient and practical to measure the survivability of not only single services but also whole network systems.
