Abstract

Invariant moments, which have the properties of rotation invariability, translation invariability and scaling invariability, is widely used in image matching. With these properties, invariant moments can be used to match image, such as map symbols. In this paper, the realization of an algorithm of matching map symbols based on invariant moments is proposed has been done. It uses the Mat lab to extract invariant moment's feature of map symbols, matches these symbols by calculating the semblance of invariant moments feature. The experimental data show that the method is feasible.
