Performance analysis for coded cooperative multiple-relay channels
Abstract
In order to achieve improved diversity over the classical coded cooperation method in fading channels, we consider a coded cooperation strategy based upon rate-compatible punctured convolutional codes, which is suitable for wireless multiple-relay channels. Outage probability expressions for the coded cooperation protocol with multiple relays are derived, which characterize the performance of a cooperation protocol at various rates. Numerical results demonstrate the merits of the proposed protocol in comparison with other cooperation schemes, under various relays and uplink channel conditions.
