An improved cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio
Abstract
In cognitive radio (CR) networks, precise spectrum sensing is one of the main factors for the dynamic spectrum access. The cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) is a way to improve the performance of spectrum sensing. To further enhance the detection performance, we propose an improved cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm which chooses some CR nodes with good signal to noise ratio (SNR) performance to detect and increase the sensing number under the circumstances of fulfilling the limitation of sensing time. The proposed method can save the channel resources and also ensure the performance of the system. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of this method.
