MIMO adaptive detection with mismatched signal rejection capabilities
Abstract
In this paper we proposed a MIMO-based adaptive detector with mismatched signal rejection capability. Using a proper statistic MIMO radar configuration, we reformulate the adaptive beamformer orthogonal rejection test, under the assumption that the interference and noise backgrounds are nonhomogeneous for different receiving array. we further show that the proposed detector has constant false alarm rate (CFAR) property with respect to those backgrounds. The detecting performance, evaluated by Monte Carlo simulations shows that the selectivity of the proposed detector is very competitive with respect to its natural competitors, at the price of some loss of performance degradation in matched signal case.
