Survey on Reversible Image Data Hiding Techniques
Abstract
Data/information transmission using computer network is become easier. This increases security need and privacy need for critical information/data to transmit over public network. Reversible image data hiding (RIDH) is a popular and effective method to transmit information/data securely and safely over public network. Prior to this the method called steganography was popular, in which data/information needed to be hide within the host or cover image with the variations. Whereas in RIDH original host or cover image can be recovered effectively and losslessly after extracting embedded data/information. This paper has illustration of the different techniques can be classified under RIDH scheme. That includes LSB modification, histogram shifting, difference expansion, PD expansion, Interpolation technique, Buyer-seller protocol, RIDH in encrypted images, side match technique.
