Super Capacitance Study on CuFe2O4 Nanoparticles prepared by Means of Citrate Assisted Co-precipitation Method
Abstract
Among researchers recent development in materials science and related fields found greater attention owing to its marvelous applications. In generally fabrication, characterization and applications of nano sized materials are the major part of their research work. Also ferrite based nanoparticles have created much attraction because of their specific properties. In the present study, CuFe2O4 nano particles were attained by co-precipitation method with citrate as chelating agent. Afterwards the synthesized materials were subjected to calcination at different temperatures such as 400 °C, 600 °C and 800 °C and then characterized by using XRD. The CuFe2O4 nano particles calcinated at 600 °C were characterized by using FESEM with EDAX, FETEM with SAED pattern and CV. The development of single phase nano based copper ferrite particles was investigated by XRD and the particle size linearly improved with the temperatures was noticed. The surface morphology of CuFe2O4studied by FESEM and it was found to be cubic spinel structure later it was confirmed by FETEM. The element identified in the CuFe2O4 nanoparticles from EDAX analysis and confirmed that the sample contains only Cu, Fe and O. Capacitance value 217Fg-1 was identified from CV study might be used for super capacitance application.
