Abstract

Unlike node localization algorithms of current fixed beacons, a node localization scheme virtual beacon selected-nonlinear least squares (VBS-NLS) based on virtual beacons is adopted. The node achieves self-positioning by solving the least cost function consisted by many pairs of energy ratios, which is based on hyper spherical cross mechanism. Then an optimization method named nonlinear least squares is proposed to approximate node position.
