A novel model to remove multiplicative noise
Abstract
Based on the model presented by Aubert and Aujol (AA model), in order to overcome the weaknesses that edge information and the important details are over-smoothed while de-noising, a novel nonlinear partial differential equation (PDE) model is developed. In the new algorithm, the self-snake function is introduced, which make the edges are preserved better in the images. The experiments show the improvement in the signal to noise ratio, edge preserve index and on the visual effect.
