Abstract

Image processing is a process of performing a hardly any operations on an image to improve the image or to take out various important information from it. An image has been preprocessed properly to remove noise present in an image; segmentation is the next primary step in explicate the image. Image segmentation is a method of dividing the images into regions or features having similar individuality are notorious and grouped altogether. There are number of approaches available to execute segmentation. This review paper focuses on a range of methods that are used to segment the image.
