An Optimal Solution Analysis of Microgrid Using Mixed Integer Linear Programming
Abstract
A MicroGrid (MG) is a localized group of electricity sources and loads that normally distributed generators and energy storage systems, is quite appealing due to its flexibility, controllability and energy management capabilities. Generally, MG is formed by the interconnection of local available distributed generations (like wind and solar power) and loads. Based on the weather conditions the power generated by wind power plant and solar power plants varies continuously which leads fluctuation of energy flow in power grids. The state of lacking a pattern of wind power generation and the fluctuation of energy flow in power grids, energy storage devices should be introduced into the micro grid, for ensuring reliable power supply through the charge and discharge operations of storage batteries. The charging and discharging process of battery system can be optimized by using multi-agent system. So, this paper proposes to avoid the problems of distributed predictive control optimization based on error balance between system supply and demand and also effective utilization of new energy for load requirement achieve using a mixed integer linear programming based on receding horizon for managing multi-standard scheduling decisions of the battery in a micro grid.
