Co-cone based algorithm for reconstructing triangulation mesh from a scattered point set
In this paper we integrate a Co-cone based algorithm with a localization technique from a scattered point set to reconstruct a mesh closed to the smooth 2-manifold surface, which may be with or without boundary. The method first computes the globally restrained Delaunay triangulation of the sample points. Then a local reconstruction process is performed on the points, around which the triangulation is not 2-manifold, to form an initial mesh. Finally it is altered to form the desired mesh.
