Abstract

The study is to present sports grade forecasting method based on relevance vector regression model. Decathlon total grades of Sebrle have been collected to study the sports grade forecasting ability of the relevance vector regression model. Here, we use the input vector with two-dimension in the training sample to train the relevance vector regression model. The relevance vector regression model is applied to predict sports grade to show the superiority of the proposed the relevance vector regression model compared with least squares support vector regression model, traditional support vector regression model. The experimental results show that the sports grade forecasting ability of relevance vector regression model is better than that of least squares support vector regression model and traditional support vector regression model.
