Dual-rate sampled systems PID type Generalized predictive control
Abstract
For a dual-rate control system where the output sampling interval is an integer multiple of the control interval, we propose PID type Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) based on state space model. The proposed algorithm has only three parameters, and it can be adjusted easily. We compare the proposed dual-rate PID type GPC with the corresponding GPC on a water level control system simulation, and conclude that the former is better in overshoot suppression, fast tracking, improving the dynamic performance and maintaining the stability of system.
