Harmonic study in combined WECS and PV source With ZSI using FLC Technique
This paper proposes a WECS (Wind Energy conversion System) and PV(Photo Voltaic) resource with z source inverter using fuzzy logic controller for. Wind energy and photovoltaic energy sources are widely suggested because of their advantages. In this the power flow systems, the load and source sides are interfaced by z source converter. This inverter can modify the voltage upto the requirement efficiently when a low or high voltage is introduced. ZSI have been considered for alternative power conversion process as they have both buck and boost capability. These inverters uses a unique LC network coupled between the power source and inverter circuit, to provide both voltage buck and boost properties, which is not possible with conventional inverters. It has single stage power conversion, high performance, minimal component count, increased efficiency, and reduced cost. The output AC voltage must be pure sinusoidal with less THD. The higher end harmonics are eliminated with the help of filters. Here LC network act as a filter to reduce the lower order harmonics. This paper describes the reduction in THD value with Fuzzy logic controller by utilizing Z-source inverter.
