Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the adaptive capability of complex production system. Based on the multi-agent simulation methodology, this paper built an agent-based model of production system, and analyzed how to improve adaptive capability and its influence on the evolution of adaptive enterprise. The results show that the adaptive complex production system has complexity and dynamic adaptability. All of these may give a new perspective for the evolution of production unit capability and the notions of adaptability and complexity.
