Abstract

This paper studies the possible application of organization in solving a class of optimization problems. An Optimization Algorithm based on Organizations (OAO) is proposed and the chromosome in genetic algorithm is regarded as an organization. Moreover, the optimal solution is obtained through the evolution of organizations. The simulation experiment shows that OAO can optimally solve some Traveling Salesman Problems (TSP).
