Abstract

This paper proposes a quantitative analysis approach to the security of intrusion tolerant systems based on their exposure window, which can represent the deteriorating process of the systems. A Markov analysis process with the parameters is discussed, and the numerical results indicate the proposed method may practical in the quantitative analysis. The new method not only gets over many difficulties of traditional measures, but also is useful to design ubiquitous systems subject to malicious attacks.
