Statistical Analysis of Reliable and Secure Transmission Gate based Arbiter Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs)
Abstract
Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) are one of the emerging technologies against cloning, IP protection, and security against reverse engineering schemes to restrict the over production chips contrast to the untreated foundries. Delay based PUFs procure an inviting option due to minimal space circuitry over conventional type arbiter PUF. In this paper, we propose a novel transmission gate based arbiter PUF for authentification of the electronic hardware systems. These PUFs has been widely used as security primitives for the device authentification and identification. We demonstrated that it significantly enhances the performance of the arbiter PUF from measuring the statistical parameters using Monte Carlo analysis. Our arbiter PUF produces the 48.5% of uniqueness for 64 bit challenge pair and estimated the reliability of the PUF across different environmental variations.
