Abstract

As an emerging embranchment in the e-commerce field, m-commerce has the wide development foreground and application space. Issues concerning identity authentication in m-commerce have become intractable and vital. In this paper we designed a scheme utilizing one-time password (OTP) identity authentication suitable for e-commerce circumstance. An efficient Elliptic Curve OTP authentication scheme is proposed, where International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of mobile devices is introduced as one of the authentication factors. Comprehensive simulations using OPNET and relative comparisons show that this newly proposed authentication scheme for mobile e-commerce is promising in the sense of lighter workload and higher security.
