Abstract

In order to improve the reliability, the error correcting code should be used in remote blasting system. It is pointed out that the (8, 4)-Hamming code can be easily implemented on 8 bit MCU, its encoding and decoding algorithm are introduced, and the performance is tested by CC1100 wireless module. The test result shows that (8, 4)-Hamming code can reduce the BER by 80% maxium, increase the remote control distance by nearly 50% maxium, and has very important practical value for remote blasting system.
