Abstract

In the mobile database, because of the complexity of the mobile environment and limited resources, database synchronization technology includes two aspects of the study. A: As the disconnect mobile computing, mobile devices can operate off-line copy of the database would lead to client and server data temporarily inconsistencies in the database. Synchronization process to be used to eliminate the temporary data inconsistencies. Second: As the complexity of the mobile environment, there are many types of mobile client (PDA, cell phone, PC, etc.) need to communicate with each other. Must be a common synchronization protocol to achieve these data synchronization between the heterogeneous data source. SyncML Initiative organized by the SyncML synchronous communication for this agreement provides a good solution. On the base of SyncML protocol, this paper will have an in-depth study in the synchronization of the mobile database.
