The virtual dual-plane routing method for wireless mesh networks
Abstract
This paper presents virtual dual-plane routing mechanism which is proposed to match the dynamic change of wireless mesh networks topology in multiple time scales. Two kinds of virtual routing plane are built on the logical topology of the network with link-diversity technology, which are the small time scale stable routing plane and the large time scale unstable routing plane, then the link state routing protocol and the angle routing protocol run on these two planes. The traffic of the network nodes performs handover between the dual routing planes. The simulation results show that the proposed routing mechanism can provide comprehensive routing efficiency under the changes in the wireless link quality in the multiple time scales.
