Vanishing point detection based on texture segmentation
Abstract
According to the perspective projection, in 3d space, parallel lines are mapped to the image projection plane intersect at one point, that is the principle of the vanishing point, strives for the texture direction line of different texture block which in same texture area as parallel line. Firstly, segment the image to get regions which have similar texture. Then, in the same texture area of image, select two pieces to low-rank decompose, and obtain their regional texture directions, find the extension line of image texture direction in the block to be chosen of each image. Finally, after merging two images, the extension cords intersect at one point, intersection point is obtained as vanishing point.
